Welcome! We are a small Certified Public Accounting firm located in Knoxville, Tennessee and have been dedicated to providing accounting and tax services for over twenty-five years. Our purpose is to keep small and medium sized companies, as well as individuals, on track with their accounting and tax requirements in a personal and professional manner. Important Information for the 2020 Tax Season
Tax Deadlines for 2020
January 15, 2021 – Fourth Estimated Tax Payment for 2020.
February 1, 2021 – Form W2, Form 1099-MISC, and the new Form 1099-NEC are due to employees, independent contractors, the IRS, and the Social Security Administration.
March 1, 2021 – Knox County Tangible Personal Property Reports.
March 15, 2021 – Form 1065 and Form 1120S – General Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships, LLCs taxed as Partnerships, and S Corporations Federal Tax Return.
April 15, 2021 – Form 1120, Form 1040, and Form 1041 – C Corporations, Individuals, Estates and Trusts Federal Income Tax Returns.
April 15, 2021 – Tennessee Franchise & Excise Tax Return
April 15, 2021 – First Estimated Tax Payment for 2021 (Form 1040ES)
April 15, 2021 – Final IRA contributions for 2020
April 15, 2021 – Business Tax Returns with the Tennessee Department of Revenue for calendar year taxpayers. This return renews your Business License for another year.
June 15, 2021 – Second Estimated Tax Payment for 2021 (Form 1040ES).
September 15, 2021 – Third Estimated Tax Payment for 2021 (Form 1040ES).
September 15, 2021 – Final Deadline for General Partnerships, LLCs, LLP Partnerships, and S Corporations that filed extensions for Forms 1065 and 1120S.
October 15, 2021 – Final Deadline for Estates and Trusts that filed extensions for Form 1041.
October 15, 2021 – Final Deadline for C Corporations and Individual Federal Income Tax Returns that filed extensions for Form 1120 or Form 1040.
January 17, 2022 – Fourth Estimated Tax Payment for 2021 (Form 1040ES).
Beginning in tax year 2020, payments made to independent contractors will be reported on Form 1099-NEC instead of Form 1099-MISC. If you file 1099s, please make sure you are using the correct form. Payments made for rents and royalties will continue to be reported on Form 1099-MISC.
